The Duamenefa Foundation is set to boost capacity of community reporters as part of preparations towards the upcoming grand durbar scheduled for December 5, 2026, at Klikor Unity Park.
The initiative is aimed at bringing together both old and new community reporters for a special engagement designed to strengthen their capacity and prepare them for their expected responsibilities during the grand durbar and its associated activities.
According to an official notice issued by the Foundation, the three weeks training programme will commence on Monday, October 19, and run until Monday, November 2, 2026. The sessions will be conducted online from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a face-to-face meeting scheduled for Thursday, November 5, 2026.
The training will be facilitated by Felix Abusah, a product of Rutgers University, USA, the Country Director of the Duamenefa Foundation in the US State of Pennsylvania.
His involvement is expected to provide participants with guidance and knowledge to enhance their effectiveness as community reporters. The programme will also offer existing and prospective reporters an opportunity to participate in a coordinated training and upgrade exercise ahead of the Foundation’s major gathering.
In the notice, the Foundation emphasised that participation is expected from all old and new community reporters. Interested persons have therefore been urged to confirm their participation by responding with the word “YES,” followed by their names or Reporter IDs.
The deadline for submitting responses is the close of day on Friday, October 16, 2026. Reporters are encouraged to respond within the stipulated period to enable the organisers to make the necessary preparations ahead of the programme.
Following the online sessions, participants are expected to attend a face-to-face meeting on Thursday, November 5, 2026, in a venue to be relayed to participants
The December 5 grand durbar at Klikor Unity Park is a significant upcoming event for which the Foundation is preparing its community reporters. Their role in covering the occasion will be important in documenting proceedings and communicating information about the event to the wider public.
Through the planned training and upgrade programme, the Foundation seeks to bring its reporters together ahead of the grand durbar and prepare them for the activities and responsibilities associated with the occasion.
The announcement was signed by Rev. Diane Westcott-Mamaga Duamenefa I, International Director of Operations, Chief Administrator and Secretary to the Executive Board of Governors.
The notice called for prompt responses from all interested community reporters and encouraged them to submit their confirmation before the stated deadline.
With the online sessions scheduled to begin on October 19, 2026, interested reporters are expected to complete their registration by Friday, October 16, to participate in the special engagement.
The Duamenefa Foundation is therefore calling on all old and new community reporters to take note of the announced dates and make the necessary arrangements to participate in the special training and upgrade programme as preparations intensify for the grand durbar on December 5, 2026, at Klikor Unity Park.
