The Duamenefa Foundation has certified 49,070 volunteers in a space of 16 years of its active social intervention operations within the Volta Region of Ghana and beyond.
According to the Executive President of Duamenefa Foundation, Mr. Ketaman Emmanuel Evortepe, the Foundation is set to be touted as the largest movement of volunteers worldwide, with an ambitious target of 50,000 voluntary members by the first quarter of 2027, reaffirming the Foundation’s commitment to expanding its membership with an objective to promote peaceful coexistence within the various communities.
Mr. Evortepe made this statement on the airwaves of Fafaa 100.3 FM during the Duamenefa Social Intervention Programme, where he spoke about the Foundation’s growing membership, its ongoing registration exercise, and its broader mission of fostering peace and harmony among community members.
According to him, the Foundation has opened another phase of registration for voluntary members, with its total membership of 49,070 and still counting. He expressed optimism that the ongoing registration exercises scheduled to take place in other communities of the Volta Region would help the organisation achieve its target of 50,000 members by the end of March 2027.
The Executive President noted that the steady increase in membership reflects the growing interest in the Foundation and the willingness of more people to identify with its activities. He emphasised that the registration exercise is an important step towards expanding the Foundation’s reach and encouraging greater participation in its initiatives.
Mr. Evortepe further described Duamenefa Foundation as the largest voluntary movement in the world, highlighting the scale of its membership and its ambition to continue growing. He indicated that reaching the 50,000-member milestone would represent a significant achievement in the Foundation’s expansion efforts.
Beyond its membership drive, Mr. Evortepe emphasised that the primary purpose of Duamenefa Foundation is to promote peaceful coexistence within communities. He explained that the Foundation is committed to fostering unity, mutual understanding, and harmonious relationships among people from different backgrounds.
He noted that peaceful coexistence is essential for community development because it creates an environment where individuals can live and work together in harmony, irrespective of their differences. According to him, promoting peace and understanding among community members is vital to building stronger communities and preventing unnecessary disputes and divisions.
The Executive President also underscored the importance of encouraging dialogue, tolerance, and mutual respect as essential tools for maintaining peace. He stressed that when community members learn to understand one another and resolve their differences amicably, they contribute to creating a more peaceful and united society.
He further explained that the Foundation’s vision goes beyond increasing its membership numbers, as it seeks to encourage more people to identify with its mission of promoting peace and harmonious relationships within communities. The growing membership, therefore, presents an opportunity to broaden the Foundation’s reach and strengthen participation in its activities.
Mr. Evortepe’s announcement highlights the Foundation’s determination to expand its voluntary membership while maintaining its focus on its core mission of promoting peaceful coexistence. Achieving the proposed target would mark another milestone in the organisation’s growth and provide a broader membership base through which it can pursue its objectives.
As the first quarter of 2027 approaches, the Foundation’s ongoing registration campaign is expected to play a key role in determining how quickly it reaches the 50,000-member mark.
The Executive President’s statement serves as a renewed call for interested individuals to join the Foundation and support its mission of promoting peace, unity, and harmonious relationships within communities.
