Police probe death of OPASS student found with multiple knife wounds

Police in Koforidua have commenced investigations into the cause of death of a final-year student of the Ofori Panin Senior High School (OPASS) whose name has been given as Bonzie Kelvin.

19- year-old Kelvin was seen in a pool of blood with multiple knife wounds on Wednesday evening, gasping for breath, when a passer-by quickly raised an alarm around the Koforidua Technical University.

He was immediately rushed to the Effiduase St. Joseph Hospital where he later passed on Thursday morning, July 13, 2023.

According to checks from close relatives, the young man had sought permission from the management of the school to attend his sister’s wedding over the weekend.

He was set to return to school to join his colleagues in preparation for their upcoming West Africa Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).

It’s however unclear what might cause his death.

Personnel from the Adweso Command who were notified have since launched an investigation to apprehend the suspects.
