MCE CLAIMED SEVEN SEAS COMPANY CONSTRUCTED “THE KILLER DYKES”

It would be recalled between the month of May and December 2022, controversies and demonstrations rocked Ketu South Municipality of the Volta Region, amidst accusation and counter accusation of stakeholders by the demonstrators.

Within the aforementioned period seven souls were allegedly drowned in the dykes’ code named by the demonstrators as “the killer dykes” of Ketu South Municipality.

The mortal remains of four of the deceased persons are still lying at the Aflao General Hospital at the time of this report.

When the Municipal Chief Executive Officer of Ketu South, Hon. Maxwell Kofi Lugudor was asked on Fafaa Fm to tell the public who dug the “killer dykes”, he responded thus ” everybody knows seven seas were responsible”.

If the Municipal Security Council led by Hon. Lugudor is aware that Seven Seas Company were responsible for digging the ” killer dykes”, which allegedly took the lives of seven indigenes of Ketu South in a space of less than one year. And this was done within Adafienu and its environs, an area considered as “unapproved” by the ministers of state responsible for environment science technology and lands and natural resources, Hon. Dr. Afriyie and Hon. Wireku Duker respectively.  The question is, “Why did the security council fail to prosecute the Seven Seas Company in line with the criminal and other offences code of Ghana? Is the Seven Seas Company above the law?  Who is shielding an illegality?”
