MAMA GBALEDZOKPUI II FOUNDATION DONATES FOOD ITEMS TO THE MUSLIMS IN DZODZE

Mama Gbaledzokpui II Foundation, a Non-Governmental Organization in the Ketu North Municipality of the Volta Region, has donated food items to Muslims in the community to help them celebrate this year’s Ramadan.

Muslims the world over are celebrating this year’s Ramadan to mark the end of the fast which started late March 2023. For this reason, Mama Gbaledzokpui II of Dzodze-Apetepe and some members of the Foundation visited the Mosque at Dzodze Akanu junction on April 21, 2023, to donate some food items as they also prepare to celebrate the Ramadan.

The food items include 4 bags of rice, boxes of cubed sugar and cartons of mineral water.

According to Mr. Life Adenyo, the spokesperson for the Foundation, “Almost every year, when we are given prior notice of these kinds of celebrations, the Foundation always comes in the little way it can. So, this is something little to support this year’s Ramadan and we ask you to pray for the Foundation to do more”.

The founder, Mama Gbaledzokpui II of Dzodze Fiagbedu, remarks, “Today as you celebrate this year’s Ramadan, there is the need to pay you a visit to donate these food items and to celebrate with you as we are all one people before God.”

The Chief Imam of the Mosque, Mallam Abass, received the items on behalf of the rest, thanked the Foundation and prayed for Allah’s blessings for the Foundation and its members.

Since its establishment, Mama Gbaledzokpui II Foundation has made donations of books, foods, cash and other items to schools, hospitals, churches, Mosques, and other institutions in the Municipality.
