KETU SOUTH: DYING TEENAGER SAVED FROM VOODOO ATTACK

The Community of Agavedzi in the Ketu South Municipality of the Volta Region of Ghana is rejoicing to the glory of God when Fafaa 100.3 FM Dzodze, the best intervention radio station, through its non-profit organization, the Duamenefa Foundation, intervened and saved a teenager from an alleged Voodoo attack.

The young boy (name withheld) was allegedly given voodoo spirit contaminated water to drink when he was suspected of stealing Gh1 (One Ghana Cedi) from his teenager friend (name withheld).

This 13-year-old teenager dragged his 12-year-old teenager friend to “Voodoo Anyigbator”, to wit, “the landlord goddess” shrine of his grandmother. He invoked the wrath of the gods through incantations and gave the alleged voodoo spirit infected water to the ignorant 12-year-old friend to drink in order to prove his innocence of the missing Ghc 1.

The 12-year-old boy who drank the voodoo spirit contaminated water became swollen from head to toe, for the past one year and three months, the victim has been suffering from all manner of ailments, ranging from sleepless nights, shouting, and crying through the night, and seeing strange creatures, unable to eat food as a result of stomach aches, and the inability to see due to his swollen eyes.

Mr. Dotsey Kuatsenu Akponoguia, the victim’s grandfather claimed he took the boy to various hospitals for several months, but there was no diagnosis in sight. The swollen and sleepless nights continued. He again summoned the perpetrator and his family before Togbi Akponoguia IV, the divisional chief of Agavedzi for arbitration and mediation.

Togbi and his panel of jurist called on traditional medium practitioners such as soothsayers, amegashiwo, and priests, who performed various divinations and rituals to pacify the gods on many occasions, but they could not save the situation either.

The family therefore took the decision to petition Mr. Emmanuel Ketaman Evortepe, the Executive President of the Duamenefa Foundation and CEO of Fafaa 100.3 FM, the best intervention radio station for investigation and intervention, to save the life of their dying teenager.

The timely intervention of Fafaa 100.3 FM through its Duamenefa Foundation witnessed an on-air interrogation of all parties. Among them were, Madam Gbedavi Dashie Hudzor, the grandmother who owned the voodoo “landlord goddess.” The grandfather of the victim, the traditional chief, Togbi Akponoguia IV and another 45 traditional deity practitioners, who are knowledgeable in matters of voodoo spirit attacks, were interviewed to proffer a spiritual solution to the problem.

During the interview session of the traditional priest and priestesses, different schools of thought propounded diverse theories on air to aid the healing of the victim. Almost all the 45 claimed the oracles must be consulted for the umpteenth time and rituals performed over and over.

Togbi Avorkliya IV, the divisional chief of Dzodze – Kuli, suggested a contrary opinion, Togbi pushed that the boy should be rushed back to the hospital whiles the spiritual methodologies continues.

Togbi Akponoguia IV, the divisional chief of Agavedzi who double as the grandfather of the victim claimed that the family have spent their last penny searching for healing from hospitals to shrines for more than one year and three months, hence, they cannot raise money for the hospital trials nor further consultations of the gods.

At this point Mr. Evortepe, the Executive President of the Duamenefa Foundation and CEO of Fafaa FM, the best intervention radio, decided on behalf of the Foundation to take up the challenge to sponsor the hospital bills and to support the process with Christian prayers.

Lo and behold, Duamenefa Foundation raised a substantial amount of money for the family to proceed to the hospital for further examinations. The victim spent two weeks at the Adzadokpo medical facility and was supported with Christian prayers by the pastors of the Duamenefa Foundation. Jehovah God in his infinite mercies and grace hearkened unto the supplications of the men of God.

The undiagnosed sickness was diagnosed. The victim receives miraculous healing. His body shrunk and decreased in size. The voodoo powers were neutralized to the glory of God. Adzadokpo facility referred the victim to Trafalgar Teaching Hospital for further examinations and the Duamenefa Foundation continue to bear the cost till the final and total restoration of the ignorant teenager.

The family sang praises on radio and glorify the name of Jehovah God. The community praises God for using Togbi Avorkliya IV through the Duamenefa Foundation and Fafaa 100.3 FM, the best Intervention radio, to save the life of the dying teenager.
