Felix Abusah Triumphs in Election Amidst Absence, Named Graduate Representative for Rutgers-Camden Student Governing Association 2023-2024

Experienced Graduate Student Takes On Leadership Role in Advocating for Student Body
Camden, NJ – September 23, 2023

In a recent announcement by the Rutgers-Camden Student Governing Association (SGA), Felix Abusah has been appointed as the At-Large Graduate Representative for the 2023 – 2024 academic year. Abusah’s appointment follows a successful internal election held during the General Body Meeting (GBM) on September 21, 2023, where he emerged as the chosen candidate among three others, despite his absence due to prior commitments of equal importance on the day of the election.
Felix Abusah, a dedicated and highly motivated graduate student, is pursuing a Master’s in Public Administration at Rutgers University-Camden. He brings with him a wealth of experience, strong communication skills, and a commitment to community service and volunteer work.

Born in Ghana in a humble family at Nortigo-kope, a farming community in the Volta region of southern Ghana, Abusah holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies, with a major in Public Relations, from the Ghana Institute of Journalism. With support and a scholarship opportunity from Fafaa 100.3 FM’s Duamenefa Foundation, he was admitted as a graduate student and is expecting to graduate with his MPA from Rutgers University-Camden in December 2024.

Abusah’s Qualifications and Experience
His extensive skills and qualifications make him well-suited to the role of At-Large Graduate Representative, where he will serve and govern all of the student organizations of Rutgers University – Camden, including the Camden College of Arts and Sciences, the School of Business, the School of Nursing, and the Arts and Sciences Graduate School.

As a graduate student, Abusah has already made significant contributions to various organizations and initiatives, both in the United States and internationally. Notably, he has been involved in massive student recruitment referrals at Rutgers Camden, founded the Rutgers Camden Global Ambassadors organization (pending approval), and served as a program assistant for the African Cultural Alliance of North America, Inc. (ACANA).

Additionally, Abusah has played a key role as an International Education Coordinator for the Duamenefa Foundation’s study abroad project currently ongoing. His dedication to community service extends to his work as a Primary Health Care Rural Advocate with E & G Volunteers.

Abusah’s professional experience includes positions such as the current Youth Sport & Recreation Intern at the Greater Philadelphia YMCA and a Global Ambassador (Remote) for MPower Financing. He has also served as a Resident Services Coordinator at Rutgers University, where he assisted residents and maintained a high standard of campus living.
Furthermore, Abusah’s professional journey includes his tenure as a Recruitment Manager for Milvik Ghana Ltd. (BIMA) and as an Area Security Manager for Epsilon Security Services Ltd. in Ghana.
