Hon. Achibald Yao Letsa, the Volta Regional Minister, Hon Maxwell Kofi Lugudor, the Municipal Chief Executive of Ketu South, Togbi Adama, the yet to be gazetted Chief of Agbozume, and Officials of Environmental Protection Agency, Volta Regional Chapter, were cited by the people of Ketu South for allegedly taking bribes from the Seven Seas Company to allow the salt company to operate in areas considered as unapproved by the EPA within their concessions to the detriment of the vulnerable.
“We are dying” demonstrators claimed 16 lives were lost and 4 out of the sixteen lifeless bodies are lying at the mortuary of the Aflao General Hospital, at the time of this publication, but the Regional Minister and his alleged accomplices are unperturbed.
In various developing stories captured by the news team of Fafaa 100.3 FM, Dzodze, in the Ketu North Municipality of the Volta Region, in a follow up to the “Miekukum” to wit, We are Dying, demonstration held by the people of Ketu South on the 27th day of September, 2022, Fafaa FM published the following news items:

a.) WE ARE DYING DEMONSTRATORS ALLEGED FOUL PLAY AND CONSPIRACY THEORY BY STAKEHOLDERS, dated 6th November, 2022.
b.) EXPOSED!! VOLTA REGIONAL MINISTER’S ALLEGED FOUL PLAY AGAINST KETU SOUTH, dated 8th November, 2022,
c.) VOLTA REGIONAL MINISTER DECEIVED US, dated 10th November, 2022.
In other publications the Municipal Chief Executive Officer was also captured in a story titled:
d.) MCE ALLEGEDLY INSTRUCTED POLICE OFFICERS TO RELEASE CRIMINALS, dated 9th day of October, 2022.
Surprisingly, the aforementioned publications with their various degrees of allegations levelled against the two public officers could not move them to respond in the public interest.
Fafaa FM in a bid to fulfill all righteousness forwarded the stories to the Hon. Regional Minister, Dr. Letsa and the Municipal Chief, Hon. Lugudor with a passionate appeal in writing, to have their right of response, but the two public officers were adamant, although the President of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo has issued a directive on his Government response system to address issues in the public domain, dated 20th October, 2022, Dr. Letsa and Hon. Lugudor disregarded same.
While Dr. Letsa and Hon. Lugudor refused to respond to the allegations contained in the various publications, the demonstrators continue to lament through the airwaves of Fafaa 100. 3 FM, in order to grab the attention of their Member of Parliament, Hon. Dzifa Gomashie and the President, His Excellency Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo.
And the allegations continue: “He has been bribed to deceive us.”
“They were involved in conspiracy theory to our detriment”
“Dr. Alchibald told lies and claimed Dr. Afriyie, the Hon. Minister of Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation had issued environmental permit to the Seven Seas to operate in areas considered as unapproved by EPA. ”
“They conspired and sacked the former MCE of Ketu South, Hon. Elliot Agbenowu, who earlier issued a “STOP WORK ORDER” to the salt company, but Hon. Elliot was removed to make way for Hon. Lugudor to enable continuity of illegalities by the Seven Seas Salt Company.”
“Seven Seas has not yet secure an environmental permit to operate in its Adafienu, Agavedzi and Blekusu concessions as reported by Dr. Afriyie, but Dr. Letsa told a lie to support an illegality.
