QUEEN MOTHERS NOT HAPPY ABOUT THE BAN ON 2023 DEZA CELEBRATION

Queen Mothers of Dzodze Traditional Area in the Volta Region of Ghana has called on the Ketu North Municipal Security Council MUSEC, as a matter of urgency to reconsider the decision of banning 2023 Deza celebration.

The Queen Mothers numbering 6 including Mama Agbaledzokpui II, president of Dzodze Queen Mothers Association, Mama Anyitorgbe II, vice president of the association, Mama Nyagadzie, advisor to the association, Mama Hoewornu, Secretary to the Association, Mama Yorformi Gligui and Mama Gbetortiekpor II were not happy the celebration was called off.

According to them, a lot has gone into the preparation of the festival hence its conciliation will cause lot of harm.

The Queen Mothers were reacting to a press release by the Ketu North Municipal Assembly which has asked the Deza Central Planning Committee to call off this year’s celebration which they said was due to security threat emanating from chieftaincy issue between Adagbledu and Fiagbedu communities in Dzodze.
