The Executive President of an NGO renders apologies – “we are sorry”

The Executive President of the Duamenefa Foundation, Mr. Emmanuel Ketaman Evortepe, has extended an apology to the men of God and other individuals who sacrificed their time, strength, and resources to ensure a successful Duamenefa Grand Durbar, despite the challenges they faced.

Mr. Evortepe made this statement on Sunday evening during the Duamenefa Programme aired on Fafaa 100.3 FM. He acknowledged that some men of God and volunteers endured difficult conditions, including working under the scorching sun and moving from one place to another, all in their effort to make the Grand Durbar a success.

According to him, their dedication and selfless commitment contributed greatly to the peaceful and well-organized nature of the event. He expressed regret for any inconvenience caused them during the preparations and the Durbar itself and assured that the next Duamenefa event will be better planned with improved arrangements to make their participation more comfortable.

The Duamenefa President mentioned traditional rulers, Rev. Theresa Seke, Tsiamiga Galeagbelime, and others for their tireless efforts and spiritual support, which he said played a vital role in the success of the 2025 Grand Durbar. He emphasized that their sacrifices reflect the true spirit of service and unity that the Foundation promotes.

Mr. Evortepe also appreciated the Duamenefa reporters for the excellent work they did during the Durbar, acknowledging their commitment to professionalism and effective coverage of the event. He said their role in broadcasting and documenting the program helped to promote peace and community development.

He further revealed that more follow-up activities are expected to take place after the Grand Durbar and encouraged listeners to stay tuned to Fafaa 100.3 FM for more updates and information from the Duamenefa Foundation.

Adding more context, Mr. Evortepe explained that the Grand Durbar is not only a celebration but also an avenue for community building, reconciliation, and conflict resolution, where spiritual and traditional leaders work together to promote harmony. He stated that the participation of men of God and volunteers ensures that the Foundation can achieve its core mandate of fostering peace and unity in all communities.

He also called on the public and other community leaders to continue supporting the initiatives of the Duamenefa Foundation, highlighting that the success of the Grand Durbar reflects what can be achieved when communities come together.

Additionally, Mr. Evortepe used the opportunity to apologize to anyone who felt offended during the Grand Durbar, explaining that it was not the intention to upset anyone. He said any discomfort was unintentional and largely due to the very large number of attendees, which made managing the event challenging.
