Beneficiaries of the 2026 Edition of the Duamenefa Foundation and Treasures of His Eyes,UK’s, Free Skills Acquisition Programme in Kpodzivi in the Akatsi South Municipality of the Volta Region have excellently put their newly acquired skills into practice, with some already producing items for the market.

The Duamenefa Foundation and Treasures of His Eyes, UK,during the 2026 version of the program have succeeded in training 1,100 of its registered members through different skills, ranging from Batik tie and dye, Soap Making, Pastries, Farming, etc. programmes across the Volta Region, with beneficiaries grouped into six geographical zones.
The initiative which began five years ago, was designed to equip participants with practical skills that could help them become self-reliant, productive and capable of creating sustainable sources of income.
Expressing their joy after the completion of 2026 version of the programme, beneficiaries from Kpodzivi in the Akatsi South District of the Volta Region shared their experience on the Duamenefa Community Leaders Platform, indicating that the skills they acquired during the training were already being put to work.

A representative of the group expressed appreciation to the two non-governmental organisations for introducing the programme, describing the training as helpful and beneficial to the participants.
According to him, the beneficiaries returned from the training determined to apply the knowledge and skills they had acquired. He said the group had already started producing liquid soap, with their products set to go to the market for the second time.
The beneficiaries said the programme had provided them with practical knowledge that could contribute to their personal development and improve the livelihoods of their families.
They expressed their determination to continue producing and improving the quality of their products as they gain more experience. They also expressed hope that, with adequate support, they could expand their production and reach more customers within Kpodzivi and other communities.
The group encouraged other beneficiaries of the programme to put the skills they acquired into practice instead of allowing them to remain unused. They noted that applying the skills consistently could help participants generate income and become more economically active.
They further appealed to the two organisations, individuals and other stakeholders to continue supporting beneficiaries with the necessary materials, equipment and resources to enable them to sustain and expand their activities.
The Kpodzivi beneficiaries expressed optimism that the skills acquired through the programme would provide a foundation for sustainable livelihoods and contribute to the economic development of their families and communities.
