Mr. Ketaman Emmanuel Evortepe, Executive President of the Duamenefa Foundation, has commended traditional rulers for honouring an invitation to the Costheta Educational Support Fund Ceremony, expressing appreciation for their support and presence at the event.
Speaking at the ceremony held at Woe-Aklorbordzi in the Duamenefa Mission House, Mr. Evortepe said inviting traditional rulers to any programme is not an easy task, noting that it requires careful preparation and proper protocol due to their high status and importance in society.
He explained that traditional rulers play key roles in the development and unity of their communities, and therefore deserve utmost respect whenever they are invited to public functions. According to him, their presence at such events is a strong sign of support and encouragement for community development initiatives.
Mr. Evortepe further stated that seeing respected traditional rulers seated comfortably in their traditional chieftaincy regalia at the ceremony was a beautiful and dignified sight that should be appreciated by all. He added that their presence alone brought honour and significance to the occasion.
He also assured the traditional rulers that the Duamenefa Foundation stands firmly behind them in every way possible, emphasizing the Foundation’s commitment to working closely with traditional authorities to promote education and community development.
He commended the traditional rulers specifically for honouring the invitation to the Costheta Educational Support Fund Ceremony, noting that their attendance demonstrated strong unity and shared commitment towards improving education in the area. According to him, their presence gave the event greater importance and encouraged more participation from community members.
Mr. Evortepe added that before a traditional ruler can leave his stool to honour an invitation, customarily, the inviting party is expected to offer something in line with traditional norms. However, he revealed that all the traditional rulers who attended the ceremony did so voluntarily without taking even a pesewa from the Duamenefa Foundation. He described their gesture as a rare show of selflessness and deep commitment to community development.
He therefore expressed profound gratitude to them and stated that God will abundantly bless them for their sacrifice, humility, and dedication to the progress of their people.
Mr. Evortepe also disclosed that he received a message from the Council of State Member representing the Volta Region, His Excellency Dr. Gabriel Kwamigah Tanko Atokple, through which he conveyed appreciation to the traditional rulers for the great work they are doing in their communities. He added that the Council of State Member also indicated he has a major plan for the traditional rulers, which will be made manifest very soon.
He further used the opportunity to officially announce that from now onwards, the headquarters of the Duamenefa Foundation is the Duamenefa Mission House, where the Costheta Educational Support Fund Ceremony was held. He stated that the Mission House will serve as the central base for all the Foundation’s activities going forward.
Mr. Evortepe also revealed that very soon, the Duamenefa Mission House will be developed into a tourist centre, adding that the vision is to make it a place of attraction for visitors, cultural promotion, and community development.
He concluded by expressing appreciation to everyone who attended the ceremony and prayed that God should bless them abundantly for their time, support, and contribution towards the success of the event.
The Executive President further stated that such collaboration between traditional authorities and development organisations like the Duamenefa Foundation is crucial in addressing educational challenges and ensuring sustainable progress in local communities.
