Duamenefa Foundation Commends Lawyer Tobias Mattah and Professor Modestus Fosu for Supporting Its Mission

The Duamenefa Foundation has expressed its appreciation to Lawyer Tobias Mattah for publicly acknowledging the organization’s efforts in promoting peace, reconciliation, and social intervention within communities across Ghana.

The commendation was delivered by the Executive President of the Foundation, Mr. Ketaman Emmanuel Evortepe, during the Duamenefa Social Intervention Programme aired on Fafaa 100.3 FM.

According to Mr. Evortepe, information received by the Foundation indicated that Lawyer Tobias Mattah had publicly recognized the work of the Duamenefa Foundation while educating listeners on Jubilee Radio 106.9 FM, the mother station of Fafaa 100.3 FM.

Mr. Evortepe stated that the legal practitioner commended the Foundation for its continued efforts in promoting peace, unity, and conflict resolution within communities. He noted that Lawyer Mattah described the Foundation’s interventions as beneficial to the people of Ghana and worthy of recognition and support.

According to Mr. Evortepe, Lawyer Mattah also expressed his willingness to collaborate with the Foundation in promoting its activities and expanding its impact to reach more communities across the country.

The Executive President welcomed the gesture and expressed gratitude for the acknowledgment, stating that such recognition serves as motivation for the Foundation to continue its work in supporting vulnerable individuals and resolving disputes through collaborative and intervention journalism.

He further noted that positive testimonies from legal professionals reflect growing confidence in the Foundation’s activities and reinforce its commitment to serving communities through lawful and peaceful means.

Mr. Evortepe emphasized that the Foundation remains open to partnerships with institutions, media organizations, legal practitioners, and other stakeholders whose contributions can help strengthen peacebuilding and conflict resolution efforts.

According to him, the Foundation continues to receive petitions for investigation and intervention from various parts of the country, many of which require a collaborative efforts of relevant state institutions, traditional mediation and legal guidance to achieve fair and lasting resolutions. He stated that this collaborative approach has contributed significantly to maintaining peace in communities where disputes had remained unresolved for extended periods.

He also encouraged the public to make use of lawful and peaceful avenues in addressing conflicts, stressing that dialogue, mediation, and respect for established authority remain essential tools for sustainable community development.

Mr. Evortepe further highlighted the role of research and academia in advancing the Foundation’s work. He used the occasion to express appreciation to Professor Modestus Fosu, Dean of Faculty of Communications Studies, UniMac, for his research on the activities of the Duamenefa Foundation.

According to him, the research has contributed significantly to documenting the Foundation’s impact and increasing public awareness of its peacebuilding and social intervention initiatives. He noted that the findings have strengthened public confidence in the organization’s operations and demonstrated the value of collaborative and Intervention Journalism in community-based conflict resolution mechanisms.

Mr. Evortepe stated that the research has also generated broader interest in the Foundation’s work among stakeholders seeking to understand and support grassroots approaches to mediation and reconciliation.

He further observed that the study has highlighted the importance of investigative journalism in examining spiritual and community-related issues, creating valuable learning opportunities for journalism students and media practitioners interested in social intervention and conflict resolution reporting.

The Executive President concluded by expressing sincere appreciation to both Lawyer Tobias Mattah and Professor Modestus Fosu for their respective contributions, describing their support as important to the continued growth, recognition, and impact of the Duamenefa Foundation.

He reaffirmed the Foundation’s commitment to expanding its educational and outreach programmes through media platforms such as Fafaa 100.3 FM, Messiah Television, Justice Fm and Jubilee Radio with the goal of promoting peace, reconciliation, and social responsibility throughout Ghana.
