Three Hundred and Sixty-Seven persons of varied background of Anyako, a fishing and farming community in the Keta Municipality of the Volta Region, joyfully registered and certified as additional volunteers of the Duamenefa Movement of Fafaa 100.3 FM.
This brought the total registered and certified volunteers of the foundation to 36,436 in a space of 13 years.
The Duamenefa Foundation of Fafaa 100.3 FM is a Non-profit organization with the primary objective to promote peaceful coexistence of people in the various communities.
The thematic areas of the foundation are, a) Educational Support Programs, b) Hospital Support Programs, c) Intervention Human Right Abuse /Spiritual Matters d) Relief for Trokosi’s e) Empowerment of Single Parents f) Unity of Communities through Fun Games. g) Promoting Youth Through Sports.
The registration officials of the Duamenefa Foundation of Fafaa 100.3 FM present at Anyako were; Pastor Gabriel Dokli, Prophet Robert Avornyo, Miss. Josephine Fafali Bobobie and Mr. Wisdom Dovlo.
According to some of the residents, they have been waiting for this opportunity for a very long time and today is the happiest day of in their lives.
The Chiefs, Queen Mothers, opinion leaders and other eminent personalities such as Mama Kokui IV Vidada from Anyako, Torgbui Hunor Gbeti, Torgbui Adzomani Bleku from Sasieme were present at the registration center.
Other residents of the suburbs of Anyako are also waiting for the opportunity to join the Foundation.
The Duamenefa movement began in 2010 through a social intervention Radio program dubbed, “Duamenefa”, to wit, “Let’s Co-exist in Peace”.
