16 Years of Peacebuilding, Community Intervention and Service to Humanity

The Duamenefa Foundation was established in 2010 with a vision to promote peaceful coexistence in communities and contribute to the well-being of humanity.

The Foundation was established as an intervention organisation to provide support, protection and assistance to individuals and communities facing various challenges, while promoting peace, unity and harmony.

For the past 16 years, the organisation has dedicated itself to serving humanity, supporting individuals and communities, and working towards the creation of a peaceful and harmonious society.

The Vision Behind the Foundation

The establishment of the Duamenefa Foundation was inspired by a vision received by Evangelist Ketaman Emmanuel Evortepe. According to the account of the Foundation, the vision highlighted the difficulties faced by many people, including those who believed they were experiencing spiritual challenges.

The vision, the Foundation says, revealed the need for an organised intervention that could provide support, guidance and assistance to people facing such difficulties.

Evangelist Ketaman Emmanuel Evortepe subsequently identified what he considered a gap between the formal justice system and matters relating to spiritual concerns. According to him, Ghana’s legal framework does not specifically provide a mechanism for addressing certain spiritual concerns.

This, he believed, created the need for a platform that could assist individuals and communities facing such challenges while operating within the principles of peace and lawful intervention.

Through what the Foundation describes as divine direction, Evangelist Ketaman Emmanuel Evortepe assembled a dedicated team of individuals to support the mission. This eventually led to the establishment of the Duamenefa Foundation.

The Foundation was therefore created with the broader objective of intervening in difficult situations, protecting lives, promoting peace and giving hope to individuals and communities.

A Multidisciplinary Leadership

The Duamenefa Foundation is guided by a management team comprising individuals with experience in different fields.

According to the Foundation, its leadership includes traditional rulers, professors, doctors and other professionals whose knowledge, experience and expertise contribute to the organisation’s vision and mission.

As the Foundation has expanded, it has introduced various initiatives aimed at promoting development and improving the well-being of individuals and communities.

Health Interventions

Health remains one of the major areas of intervention for the Duamenefa Foundation.

The Foundation recognises good health as essential to human development and says it has supported health facilities and individuals facing medical challenges.

According to the organisation, donations are made to selected hospitals and health centres, while individuals in need have also received assistance with food, medical expenses and outstanding hospital bills.

These interventions, the Foundation says, are intended to provide relief to individuals and families experiencing difficult health circumstances.

Supporting Education

Education is another key area of focus.

The Duamenefa Foundation believes education is an important tool for transforming individuals and communities. As part of its interventions, the Foundation provides support to brilliant but needy students to enable them to continue their education.

Through these interventions, students have received assistance towards their educational needs, enabling them to pursue their academic goals and work towards building better futures.

Promoting Sports and Youth Development

The Foundation also recognises sports as an avenue for talent development, discipline and opportunity creation, particularly for young people.

Through its involvement in sports, the organisation has supported individuals and provided opportunities for talented people to develop their abilities and pursue careers in their chosen sporting disciplines.

The Foundation believes that investing in sports can help young people discover their potential while contributing positively to their communities.

Support for Vulnerable Individuals

Beyond health, education and sports, the Duamenefa Foundation says it continues to support vulnerable individuals and families experiencing social and economic difficulties.

The organisation provides assistance during challenging periods and seeks to offer encouragement, care and opportunities to individuals who require support.

The Foundation maintains that community development is a collective responsibility and therefore works with individuals, groups, traditional authorities and other stakeholders to identify challenges and develop appropriate interventions.

Human Rights and the Trokosi System

Human rights protection is also identified as an important aspect of the Foundation’s work.

The Duamenefa Foundation says it has supported individuals who were under the traditional Trokosi system, helping them regain their freedom and dignity.

According to the organisation, these interventions formed part of its broader commitment to protecting human rights and promoting freedom.

The Foundation also says it encourages individuals and communities to respect the Constitution of Ghana and lawful principles.

Where disputes or practices raise concerns, it advocates addressing them through appropriate channels and peaceful resolution.

A Question of Lives Saved

The Foundation says its interventions have extended to numerous individuals and communities over the years.

One question posed by the organisation is: What would have happened to the 747 lives it says were saved through its interventions if the Foundation had not existed?

The question, according to the Foundation, highlights the significance of intervention initiatives aimed at protecting lives, providing support and giving people hope during difficult circumstances.

A Growing Global Network

Since its establishment in 2010, the Duamenefa Foundation says it has expanded its activities beyond its original scope and now has a registered membership of 48,754 people worldwide.

The organisation continues to focus on peacebuilding, community development, humanitarian support, human rights and interventions aimed at improving the lives of individuals and communities.

After 16 years of service, the Foundation says its work remains guided by its commitment to humanity, peaceful coexistence, protection of lives and sustainable community development.

The areas highlighted above represent only a portion of the Foundation’s activities and interventions. As the organisation continues to expand, it says it remains committed to identifying challenges, supporting communities and contributing to a more peaceful society.
