Investigation And Intervention to Save Lives Is Free — Executive President

Mr. Ketaman Emmanuel Evortepe, Executive President of the Duamenefa Foundation, has clarified that its investigation and intervention to save lives is for free.

Mr. Evortepe made the clarification on the airwaves of Fafaa 100.3 FM during the Duamenefa Social Intervention Programme, where he used the opportunity to educate the public on the Foundation’s petition process.

According to him, the Duamenefa Foundation handles petitions free of charge and does not require petitioners to pay money before their concerns can be considered for investigation and intervention.

His comments followed an incident during an investigation in which one of the parties involved indicated that he wished to bring a petition to the Duamenefa Foundation but did not have the money to do so.

Mr. Evortepe said the situation presented an opportunity to clarify the Foundation’s position and assure the public that financial difficulties should not prevent anyone with a genuine concern from seeking its intervention.

He explained that the Foundation’s work is focused on listening to the concerns of individuals and communities, examining issues brought before it, and helping parties involved in disputes to find appropriate ways of addressing their grievances.

He encouraged individuals with genuine grievances or social concerns requiring intervention to come forward through the approvals of their traditional rulers to the foundation for possible investigation and intervention.

Mr. Evortepe further used the programme to caution the public against misinformation concerning the Foundation’s petition services. He encouraged anyone who is uncertain about the process to seek clarification directly from the Foundation through its hotline – 0242313766 rather than relying on hearsay.

He said providing accurate information about the petition process would help prevent misunderstandings and ensure that people who genuinely need assistance are not discouraged from seeking intervention.

He further explained that the Foundation remains open to receiving petitions from members of the public who believe they have genuine petitions that require attention. He urged such individuals to provide the necessary information and cooperate with the Foundation during the investigation process.

Mr. Evortepe reiterated that the purpose of the intervention is to give people an avenue to seek assistance and have their concerns properly heard. He therefore encouraged the public to make use of the Foundation’s services whenever they need its intervention, with no financial obligation attached

He said the Foundation would continue to use its social intervention programmes to collaborate with relevant state institutions to educate the public on issues affecting individuals and communities, while providing a platform for concerns to be brought to the attention of the appropriate parties.

Mr. Evortepe’s clarification is expected to help members of the public better understand the Foundation’s petition process and remove concerns that lack of money could prevent them from bringing genuine cases before the organisation.
