Spiritual Attack and Instant death Rocks Some Cohabitation Relationships – Duamenefa Foundation intervene

“Two dead bodies are lying in the morgue at Ahekpi, Agortime Ziope District of the Volta Region. A Vodoo priest of Afife, Agama Shrine, Togbi Agama, allegedly claimed his deities are responsible for the death of the two victims. The cause of death was ascribed to invocation of the wrath of the gods by one Mama Havor an initiate of Agama shrine. Mama Havor claimed her shop was burnt to ashes by his supposed son in-law , Mr. Dziwornu and Co.

Mr. Dziwornu, now deceased, was cohabitating with Cecelia, the daughter of Mama Havor. The relationship collapsed due to misunderstanding and Dziwornu was infuriated by the actions of Cecelia, hence he chooses to burn the supposed mother in law’s shop. Mama Havor in turn invoked the gods to avenge. The gods are on the rampage killing family members. Three people died mysteriously so far. The voodoo priest is demanding two virgin girls in servitude to the gods before the corpses of the remaining two dead bodies could be buried, if not, other family members would die mysteriously.

These lamentations were contained in a petition addressed to the Executive President of Duamenefa Foundation and CEO of Fafaa 100.3 Fm, Mr. Emmanuel Ketaman Evortepe, by Togbi Agbodemegbe III, the divisional chief of Ahekpi in the Ziope District of the Volta Region for investigation and intervention.

Prior to this unfortunate development, the Duamenefa Foundation has intervened to save numerous families from life-threatening crises caused by Cohabitating Relationships. Speaking on Fafaa 100.3 FM during the Duamenefa Social Intervention Programme, the Foundation’s Executive President, said, many families have suffered severe emotional, financial, and spiritual challenges due to cohabitating relationships . According to him, these disasters could have been avoided if the people involved had taken proper steps to prepare for marriage.

Mr. Evortepe cited past interventions to illustrate the dangers of cohabitating unions. He recalled that in the year, 2024, Madam Victoria and Mr. Korku Soshi of Akame in the Ketu South Municipality of the Volta Region, had a co habitation relationship build on blood covenant, but ended in separation . This led to serious spiritual complications that nearly destroyed the family. Similarly, Mr. CD Adzika and Madam Janet Vinyo also of Akame, faced similar spiritual manipulations following their separation. A juju charm planted by the man, Mr. CD Adzika , with an intention to secure the woman from intruders almost claimed the lives of the woman and her mother, saved for the timely intervention of the Duamenefa foundation.

Avadre in the Akatsi South District of the Volta Region also witnessed another cohabitating relationship , where the woman, Madam Etey Fometu, forcefully contracted a juju man to secure her husband from rival intruder. The manipulation of charms Etey Fometu led to the unfortunate death of their 8 year old daughter.

The current petition from Togbi Agbodemegbe III, has gone a long way to buttress the fact that, cohabitation coupled with the use of Vodoo charms to secure the relationship is causing grave devastating effects to innocent families than good. The Foundation used the contents of the current petition to caution the public, urging individuals, especially young people, to plan marriages the proper way, seek counseling, and ensure mutual understanding before commitment to marriage

Mr. Evortepe explained that many families continue to face hidden dangers from cohabitation relationships including spiritual, emotional, and social disruptions. He emphasized that marriage is not about cohabitation, or saying “I love you” nor having children, but the union of people who are emotionally and mentally ready, plan carefully, and are mature enough to think through challenges, even when misunderstandings arise. He noted that lack of preparation often leads couples into conflicts that escalate into serious crises affecting the entire family.

He further highlighted that the Duamenefa Foundation’s interventions go beyond preventing divorce-related tragedies. According to him, the Foundation also counsels families experiencing spiritual attacks, mediates disputes, and educates couples on the importance of communication and mutual respect. Mr. Evortepe stated that early intervention can prevent spiritual and social consequences that might otherwise spiral out of control, ensuring the safety and stability of the family unit.

Mr. Evortepe emphasized that marriage comes with many challenges, which is why everyone must plan carefully, seek guidance, and ensure readiness before marriage, in order to avoid emotional, spiritual, and social disasters.

Highlighting the broader impact, Mr. Evortepe warned that cohabitation relationships often trigger community-wide crises, especially when spiritual elements are involved. He cited instances where unresolved marital conflicts had nearly escalated into violent confrontations or led to spiritual harm affecting multiple family members. He urged the public to take lessons from these incidents, stressing that responsible and well-planned marriages protect not only individuals but the larger family and community.

He also emphasized that couples should be aware that marital challenges do not end with love alone. According to him, even couples who experience misunderstandings in their marriage must have the maturity, planning, and resilience to resolve conflicts, otherwise petty issues can escalate into serious family crises, sometimes involving spiritual consequences.

Finally, Mr. Evortepe urged communities, religious leaders, and local authorities to work together with organizations like the Duamenefa Foundation to create awareness on responsible marital practices. He emphasized that education, guidance, and early intervention are crucial to preventing tragedies like those witnessed in Agortime-Ziope, Avadre, and other communities.

Mr. Evortepe concluded by reiterating that the Duamenefa Foundation remains committed to resolving family conflicts, promoting peace, and educating the public on the dangers of unplanned marital decisions. He emphasized that careful preparation, proper counseling, and spiritual awareness can help families avoid tragedy, maintain harmony, and safeguard lives from both social and spiritual crises.

Watch out for further developments..
