Mr. Ketaman Emmanuel Evortepe, Executive President of the Duamenefa Foundation and CEO of Fafaa 100.3 Fm, has commended the Ghana Education Service (GES) for taking swift action in response to the recent sexual misconduct allegations at Dzodze-Penyi Senior High School.
Speaking on the airwaves of Fafaa 100.3 FM during the Duamenefa Social Intervention Programme, Mr. Evortepe praised GES for its prompt response following the immediate release of an interdiction letter to Mr. Vincent Tovor, an Ewe teacher at Dzodze-Penyi SHS, who is alleged to have engaged in sexual misconduct with a final-year student. The issue came to light after it was broadcast by Fafaa 100.3 FM, prompting rapid action from the Volta Region office of GES.

He also appreciated the efforts of the Ketu North Municipal Directorate, particularly the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), for taking steps to protect the people of Ketu North, ensure that Dzodze-Penyi SHS remains free from such allegations, and maintain proper records to safeguard students and staff.
Mr. Evortepe further stated that the Duamenefa Foundation and Fafaa 100.3 FM will continue to follow up on this news until the final decision on the matter is reached, underlining their commitment to accountability and the protection of students. He also urged the authorities to continue with their investigations and to come out with their findings, pleading that the process should be fair, transparent, and unbiased to ensure justice for all parties involved.
He concluded by praising all parties involved for their decisive actions and emphasized the importance of upholding ethical standards and protecting students within the school environment.
Incidents of sexual misconduct in Ghanaian schools have, in recent years, gained significant attention, with education authorities under increasing pressure to act decisively to protect students. Cases in other schools, such as alleged misconduct at some senior high schools in the Volta Region, have highlighted the need for clear reporting channels and swift disciplinary action.
Education experts argue that prompt intervention not only safeguards students but also serves as a deterrent against future violations. Ensuring transparency and accountability in handling such cases is critical for maintaining trust in the education system and protecting the rights of all learners.
Community-based organizations and media outlets have also played a vital role in exposing and monitoring these issues. Collaborations between foundations like Duamenefa Foundation, local authorities, and media platforms such as Fafaa 100.3 FM help ensure that cases are followed up rigorously and that perpetrators face appropriate consequences.
