Following recent investigations by Fafaa 100.3 FM, Dzodze, into allegations of sexual misconduct involving the Headmaster of Dzodze-Penyi Senior High School (DZOSEC), Mr. Joshua Yao Vidzro, which led to his interdiction by the Ghana Education Service (GES), a new allegation has surfaced involving another teacher of the same institution.
The latest case concerns an alleged sexual harassment incident involving a final-year female student (name withheld), who is the daughter of WO2 Justice of the Ghana Armed Forces and a former student of Dzodze-Penyi Senior High School.
According to information submitted to the Duamenefa Social Intervention Programme Fataa 100.3 FM, the parent forwarded screenshots of alleged WhatsApp conversations between his daughter and a teacher of the school, identified TOVOR VINCENT, popularly known as “Mr. Cassava, aka. Agbeli” for investigation and intervention in the interest of protecting students.

In the alleged messages, Mr. TOVOR VINCENT reportedly invited the student to meet him. When the student asked the purpose of the meeting, the teacher allegedly used sexually suggestive language proposing sexual activity. ( we go knack, come make I knack you). Seeking confirmation of the sender’s identity, the student requested a photograph, which the teacher allegedly sent, reportedly showing himself holding a microphone.
The student is said to have cautioned the teacher, reminding him of his professional responsibility to educate and protect students rather than exploit them. She further warned of reporting the matter to school authorities and her parents. According to the parent, the teacher allegedly responded dismissively.
The parent expressed concern that reporting such a matter to school authorities may not have yielded results, given the earlier allegations involving the interdicted headmaster, who is accused of impregnating a student and allegedly defiling a 14-year-old first-year student-matters currently under investigation.
As part of its investigations, Fafaa 100.3 FM contacted Mr. TOVOR VINCENT aka. Agbeli, the Ewe teacher, for his response. He admitted knowing the student but denied the allegations, describing the messages as a joke. He further alleged that the student demanded GH$10,000 from him in exchange for sex, claiming the conversation was mutual banter, an allegation the student denied as a big lie, when the teacher was requested to provide screenshots of the chats to support his claim, Mr. TOVOR VINCENT aka. Agbeli stated that the messages had been deleted from his phone.
Meanwhile, some sources who spoke to the radio station under strict anonymity alleged a longstanding pattern of sexual harassment by some teachers at the school. They claimed that in previous cases, a particular teacher had impregnated a female student, married her, and later abandoned the past student to her fate. According to the sources, some complaints were reported to the Dzodze Police Station during the tenure of a former headmaster, but were allegedly withdrawn due to political influence, resulting in the cases being dropped.
These developments have raised renewed concerns among the public and education stakeholders, with many questioning how long it will take the Ghana Education Service to comprehensively address alleged misconduct at DZOSEC and whether such cases will continue to be overshadowed by political considerations.
The Duamenefa Foundation, a non-governmental organization operating under Fafaa 100.3 FM and led by its Executive President and CEO of Fafaa 100.3 Fm, Mr.
Emmanuel Ketaman Evortepe, has reiterated its commitment to advocating for the protection of vulnerable persons. The Foundation works with 48,654 registered volunteers across the Volta Region to support lawful authorities in addressing human rights violations.
Further investigations are ongoing, and the public has been assured that updates will be provided as the matter develops.
