The Duamenefa Foundation will join family, friends, and members of its executive body to pay their last respects to Agbotadua Kumassah, a board member of the foundation, who has passed away. The Executive President of the Duamenefa foundation and CEO of Fafaa 100.3 Fm, Mr. Emmanuel Ketaman Evortepe, confirmed that all board members will attend his funeral rites to honor his contributions and service to the organization.
This official announcement was made during the foundation’s social intervention programme on Sunday.
According to Mr. Evortepe, Agbotadua Kumassah played a vital role in the growth and development of the Duamenefa Foundation, contributing significantly to its initiatives and programs. He described Kumassah’s death as a great loss, saying it was a moment of deep pain for both himself and the organization.
The burial service is scheduled for 27th March, 2026, and the ceremony will take place at Ketasco Park, where friends, family, and foundation members are expected to gather to pay their last respects.
Mr. Evortepe also extended heartfelt condolences to the family of Agbotadua Kumassah, most especially, the widow, Mrs. Kumassah and children, on behalf of the Duamenefa Foundation’s executive body and all its members, expressing solidarity and support during this difficult time.
Agbotadua Kumassah had been an active member of the Duamenefa Foundation for almost two decades, he is known for his leadership in social intervention projects, community development initiatives, and youth empowerment programs. Many colleagues and beneficiaries credit him with helping the foundation expand its outreach and impact in various communities.
He was also a dedicated member of the Roman Catholic Church and served on the Faith and Culture Committee. Mr. Evortepe stated that all 82 Reverend Fathers of the Keta-Akatsi Diocese may wish to participate and honor his burial ceremony, reflecting his deep engagement with the church and the broader faith community.
The Duamenefa Foundation, established to promote social welfare and community development, training of youth and sports, community interventions, educational support programs, skills empowerment initiatives, etc,has a history of honoring members who contribute to its mission. In recent years, the foundation has been involved in educational scholarships, health outreach programs, and disaster relief efforts across the region, highlighting the kind of work Kumassah supported during his tenure.
Several community leaders and partner organizations have already begun sending messages of condolences to the bereaved family, acknowledging Kumassah’s commitment to service and the positive influence he had on both local communities and the foundation itself. The upcoming funeral is expected to draw dignitaries, community leaders, and stakeholders from across the region, reflecting the widespread respect he earned during his lifetime.
