Beneficial Skills Empowerment Program for Members of the Duamenefa Foundation

The Duamenefa Foundation, Ghana, in collaboration with Treasures of His Eyes, a U.K. based NGO, in continuity of their annual beneficial skills empowerment programs for members of the Duamenefa Foundation has scheduled this year’s event in four different locations within two municipalities of the southern Volta Region of Ghana.

Rev. Adefunke Adeoye, also known as, Mamaga Nutefeworla I, Country Director of Treasures of His Eyes U.K., has highlighted the importance of empowering others and promoting community development through skills training and other initiatives. Mamaga Nutefeworla, reiterated that her organization’s collaborations with the Duamenefa Foundation for the past nine years have yielded a lot of benefits for the targeted category of people here in Ghana
The beneficiary municipalities are, Ketu South and Ketu North. Other municipality and districts within the Volta Region would be considered for the next phase of training.

The event will take place in four locations: Atiwuta, Weta, Premises of Fafaa Radio, Dzodze, and Afife.

The training dates are as follows:
1st September: Atiwuta
3rd September: Afife
5th September: Weta
8th September: Premises of Fafaa radio, Dzodze

Mad. Fafali Josephine Bobobee, the Personal Assistant to the Executive President of the Duamenefa Foundation and CEO of Fafaa FM, during an interview on Fafaa 100.3 FM’s News at 2PM, states that, this year’s program aims at equipping members with essential skills in soap making, Batik tie and dye, and farming.

The initiative builds on the success of last year’s program, where over 450 registered participants had benefited in seven different skills, ranging from, Batik Tie and Dye, Soap Making, Tailoring, Gelle Making, Pastries, Farming and Fundamentals of Journalism.

In addition to the skills training program, the Duamenefa Foundation and Treasures of His Eyes will be donating skills empowerment equipment to its deserving members during the grand durbar scheduled for the 18th day of October, 2025.

According to the Personal Assistant to the Executive President, the equipment will be donated to trained and certified single parents and people living with disabilities (PLWD). She further urged all Duamenefa community leaders to strictly abide by the prescribed eligibility criteria for nomination and selection of candidates for the equipment.

The Executive President and CEO of the Duamenefa Foundation and Fafaa 100.3 FM, Emmanuel Ketaman Evortepe, on his part, has emphasized the importance of empowering its members towards the promotion of community development through skills training and other initiatives as one of its thematic area of operations. According to him, the collaboration with Treasures of His Eyes, U.K. demonstrates their shared commitment to promoting socio-economic development. The Executive President commends the efforts of the over 48,000 registered and certified volunteers of the Foundation, the community reporters and leaders for their collective efforts geared towards promotion of peaceful coexistence of people within the various communities in the Volta Region.

The Duamenefa Foundation and Treasures of His Eyes skills training program is continually yielding positive impact on the lives of its members and also contributing to the development of the various communities.
