Traditional Leaders Set to Settle Gblonya Stool Dispute in Public Arbitration

The Duamenefa Foundation’s ongoing investigation into the Gblonya chieftaincy conflict has reached a crucial point amid allegations that two individuals are claiming the same stool title. Torgbui Gblonya, and occupying one stool. According to a petition submitted to the Foundation, the situation has allegedly led to the illness of one of the claimants, with suspicions of a possible spiritual dimension linked to the dispute.

In line with its mission to promote peace, justice, and social harmony, the Duamenefa Foundation under the leadership of its Executive President and CEO of Fafaa 100.3 Fm, Mr. Emmanuel Ketaman Evortepe, has engaged all parties involved, in an interactive investigation for intervention, examining the facts surrounding the matter. The Foundation has since called on traditional rulers to oversee a lawful and peaceful resolution that could also restore the health of the affected individual.

Given that Ghana’s Chieftaincy Act and customary laws empower only traditional authorities to adjudicate such matters, the Foundation formally appealed to Torgbui Dalla – Aneni IV, the Divisional Chief of Tsiame, to intervene and facilitate an impartial arbitration process.

During Monday’s edition of the Duamenefa Programme on Fafaa 100.3 FM, a letter from Torgbui Aneni IV was read by Abass Seidu, announcing that a public arbitration session will take place on Thursday, 18th December 2025.

The Executive President of the Duamenefa Foundation urged all parties to cooperate fully with the traditional rulers to ensure that the process brings lasting peace and resolution to the dispute.

The announcement confirmed that official notifications have been sent to the relevant authorities as required by law. The arbitration will be broadcast live on Fafaa 100.3 FM, allowing the public to follow the proceedings in real time.

With anticipation rising, community members are hopeful that the arbitration will finally bring peace to Gblonya family and restore unity and well-being among its people.
