Our Voodoos Testify that the Christian led Duamenefa Social Intervention NGO Is on a Rescue Mission

“ I have consulted my gods and the oracles revealed to me that you people are on divine mission to rescue humanity”. These were the words of Nyigblanua Togbi Eha Apim of Anloga Nyigbla Shrine, way back, September, 2010, during the Duamenefa Social Intervention program on the airwaves of Jubilee 106.9 fm. The intervention team visited Nyigblanua, on a fact finding mission in respect of the Awormefia chieftaincy conflicts which bedeviled the Anlo- Dukor Kingdom for more than 11 years. True to his words, the timely intervention had saved the situation, the conflict was resolved, and the Awormefia, of Anlo – Dukor, was outdoored successfully.

Same applies to a chief priest of Kakasunaka at the time, by the name, Hunor, Amuzu, now a born again Christian, known as, Togbi Amuzu, who also claimed, he has consulted his oracles, and was permitted by the gods to join forces with the Christian led intervention team to rescue the Eweland from atrocities of the powers of darkness. According to him, his oracles permit him to freely speak and educate the public on allegations of hitherto antagonistic spiritual conflicts on the airwaves, buttressing the fact that, even the spirit world realized the Duamenefa foundation was ordained by the almighty God for a divine purpose.

Mr. Ketaman Emmanuel Evortepe, Executive President of the Duamenefa Foundation, has revealed that the organization engaged with relevant stakeholders, including chief priests of various shrines, before the commencement of its Social Intervention program. The program seeks to unravel the mysteries behind allegations of spiritual attacks and to promote peaceful coexistence of people in the various communities. He made the statement during the Foundation’s social intervention programme on Thursday.

The Executive President was addressing an ongoing controversial spiritual manipulation at a shrine in Anloga called Tormife, where it was alleged that the shrine authorities were preventing the Nutakor family from retrieving the body of their deceased family member from the mortuary for burial. Reports suggested that the shrine claimed the death resulted from the wrath of the gods, allegedly invoked by another family member. The Tormipe shrine therefore demands a human being, a virgin girl, as servitude offering to appease the gods.

Following a petition from the Nutakor family, the Duamenefa Foundation involved traditional rulers and relevant institutions to mediate a public arbitration. Through divination conducted under the supervision of the traditional authorities, it was revealed that the gods had no involvement in the death. The shrine’s claims were deemed baseless and misleading. The traditional rulers fined the responsible parties and instructed them to release the body to the Nutakor family for burial.

Speaking on the alleged behaviour of the Tormife Shrine, Mr Evortepe called on traditional medium practitioners to respect the provisions of the 1992 constitution, article 26, clause 1 and 2 of the Republic of Ghana

He explained that the Foundation’s approach is guided by respect for tradition and the constitution, ensuring that intervention is carried out without infringing on cultural practices. “Our work is to protect families and prevent abuse under the guise of spirituality,” he said.

Mr. Evortepe also highlighted the role of transparency and public involvement. He stated that by consulting traditional rulers and making findings public, the Foundation prevents misinformation and ensures that decisions are recognized as fair by the communities involved.

He further stated that the public should know the work of the Duamenefa Foundation is intervention work approved in the spiritual realm. “Everyone should align themselves and do the right thing, respecting both tradition and the law,” he said.

He concluded by assuring the public that the Foundation will continue to monitor unresolved cases, including the Tormife Shrine issue, until all families are able to bury their deceased in line with the provisions of the customary laws of Ghana. “No family should suffer the pain of losing a loved one and still be denied the right to proper burial,” he said. Mr. Evortepe further stated that the Duamenefa Foundation will follow up on this case and make sure the right thing is done.
