Member of Parliament for Ketu North, Hon. Edem Agbana, has pledged to donate a set of jerseys to every club participating in the ongoing Duamenefa Regional Tournament, regardless of their final standing. The announcement was made by the Executive President of the Duamenefa Foundation and CEO of Fafaa 100.3 FM, Mr. Emmanuel Ketaman Evortepe also known as Torgbui Duamenefa I, during the live broadcast of the Duamenefa Programme on Thursday, 25th September 2025.
According to the announcement, Hon. Edem Agbana’s gesture covers all participating clubs — from the first to the last — emphasizing that every team that registers and plays in the tournament will receive a set of jerseys, whether they win or lose.
This act of support has been widely commended by the public and sports enthusiasts across the region. Many have praised Hon. Agbana for showing genuine leadership and concern for youth development, particularly in the area of community-based sports.
The Duamenefa Foundation also extended its appreciation to the MP, describing the donation as a true act of leadership. The Foundation has encouraged other individuals, especially those with the means, to support the youth and help nurture their talents through similar.
The Duamenefa Regional Tournament, which is currently at the quarterfinal stage, has been one of the most competitive and widely followed community football tournaments in the region.
The grand final match is scheduled to take place on 18th October 2025 at Dzodze Penyi SHS Park, which will also mark the Grand Durbar of the Duamenefa Regional Peace Festival. The atmosphere is building as teams, supporters, and dignitaries prepare for what promises to be a historic finale.
The tournament is proudly sponsored by His Eminence Tanko Gabriel Kwamigah Atokple, also known as Torgbui Nyaxordeakorla I, and his wife, Mama Nyaxordeakorla I. Their continued support has elevated the status of the tournament, providing a platform for young talents to shine and for communities to unite in peace and celebration.
With only a few days to go, the public is being encouraged to come and witness the finals for themselves, rather than hearing it from others.
