Mr. Ketaman Emmanuel Evortepe, Executive President of the Duamenefa Foundation, has commended His Excellency Dr. Gabriel Kwamigah Tanko Atokple, also known as Torgbi Nyaxordeakorla I, for his outstanding support and commitment to the activities and development of the Duamenefa Foundation.
Mr. Evortepe made the commendation on the airwaves of Fafaa 100.3 FM during the Duamenefa Social Intervention Programme, where he spoke about the Foundation’s initiatives and the positive impact of support received from individuals committed to improving the lives of people in need.
According to him, Torgbi Nyaxordeakorla I has consistently used his personal resources to support the activities of the Duamenefa Foundation, particularly initiatives aimed at identifying and assisting individuals who need help but lack the necessary resources and opportunities.
He explained that one of the major initiatives benefiting from this support is the Duamenefa Regional Tournament, which provides a platform for young people with football talent and skills, particularly those who lack the financial support and opportunities needed to develop their abilities.
Mr. Evortepe noted that the tournament goes beyond football competition, as it also seeks to discover hidden talents and provide young footballers with opportunities to showcase their abilities. He said many talented young people have the potential to succeed but are unable to pursue their dreams because they lack the necessary financial and other forms of support.
He further highlighted what he described as one of the biggest success stories from the previous Duamenefa Regional Tournament, where a talented young footballer was identified and selected and has subsequently travelled abroad to continue developing his football career.
According to Mr. Evortepe, the player’s travel and continued development abroad were fully sponsored by Torgbi Nyaxordeakorla I, in fulfilment of his pledge to support talented young footballers identified through the Duamenefa Regional Tournament.
He described the development as very good news and a major achievement for the Duamenefa Foundation, saying it demonstrates the real impact that the tournament and its supporters are having on the lives of young people.
He stressed that what Torgbi Nyaxordeakorla I is doing for the Foundation and young people is very important and deserves recognition and appreciation from the public. He therefore called on the public to continue praying for Torgbi Nyaxordeakorla I for strength, good health and the resources to continue supporting more people and contributing to the development of young talents.
Mr. Evortepe further disclosed that Torgbi Nyaxordeakorla I is the headline sponsor of the 2026 edition of the Duamenefa Regional Tournament, describing his continued involvement as a strong demonstration of his commitment to youth development, sports and social intervention.
He said the sponsorship of the 2026 tournament would further strengthen the Foundation’s efforts to provide young footballers with a platform to showcase their talents and gain opportunities that could transform their lives.
Mr. Evortepe also used the opportunity to appreciate the Director of Sports for the Duamenefa Regional Tournament, Mr. Patrick Amazing Doamekpor, and Mr. Michael Helegbe for their maximum effort and commitment towards ensuring the successful travel of the talented young footballer.
He acknowledged the important roles played by Mr. Doamekpor and Mr. Helegbe in facilitating the process and ensuring that the young footballer successfully secured the opportunity to travel abroad and continue pursuing his football career.
He said their dedication demonstrates the importance of teamwork and commitment in turning opportunities created through the Duamenefa Regional Tournament into real-life success stories for young people.
Mr. Evortepe encouraged young footballers across the region to take advantage of opportunities provided through the Duamenefa Regional Tournament, describing the platform as a pathway through which talented players can be identified, developed and connected to opportunities both locally and internationally.
He emphasized that investing in young people is an investment in the future, adding that the support being provided through the Foundation has the potential to transform lives and create sustainable opportunities for talented individuals.
The Executive President therefore called on other individuals, organizations and well-meaning members of society to emulate the example of Torgbi Nyaxordeakorla I by supporting initiatives that seek to empower young people, discover hidden talents and provide assistance to individuals who need help.
He reaffirmed the Duamenefa Foundation’s commitment to its social intervention programmes and expressed hope that the Foundation would continue to receive the necessary support to expand its activities, discover more talents and reach more people across the region.
