All Road Leads to Dzodze Penyi Senior High School Park for The Duamenefa Grand Durbar

All road leads to Dzodze- Penyi Senior High School Park for the much-anticipated Grand Durbar of the Duamenefa Regional tournament, sponsored by H E. Gabriel Kwamigah Tanko Atokple, Togbi Nyaxordeakorla I, the Council of State Member representing the Volta Region in the office of the President, who doubles as the CEO of Tanko Foundation and Sesi Edem Group of companies.

With just weeks to go, the organizers have issued a public clarification following growing concerns from some members of the public who say they did not receive invitation letters.

The clarification became necessary after many people began to complain, questioning whether they were being intentionally excluded from the event. Some reportedly reached out to the organizers asking, “Are we not part of the celebration?”

Speaking on the Agoo Morning Show hosted by Madam Fafali Bobobee on Fafaa 100.3 FM, Mr. Jerome Johnson who is the head of the team distributing invitation letters addressed the issue, explaining that not every individual will receive a personal invitation letter due to the large membership size of the Duamenefa Foundation, which currently has over 48,658 registered members.

Instead of sending individual invitations, the organizers adopted a grouped distribution strategy to make the process more efficient. Letters were sent to key institutions such as traditional councils, local church councils, and other community bodies. When these groups receive letters, they represent everyone under their jurisdiction — such as all the chiefs in a traditional area or all members of a Church council.

It was further clarified that the letters successfully reached the targeted institutions. Organizers emphasized there is no deliberate act to exclude anyone, but a practical method to manage the large numbers involved.

Everyone — regardless of whether they received a personal letter — is warmly invited and encouraged to attend.

The Duamenefa Grand Durbar is held annually to mark the anniversary of the Duamenefa Foundation, a movement known for promoting peaceful coexistence, community development, and cultural values. This year’s edition will take place on October 18, 2025, at the Dzodze-Penyi SHS Park (Dzosec Park).

The event promises to be bigger and more exciting than ever, featuring over 48,658 registered members, cultural performances, live music, peace-building exhibitions, drama, and many other activities.

Organizers are urging the general public:
“Don’t let something that happens in your time become history to you. Come and witness it for yourself, so that tomorrow, you’ll have a story to tell someone.”

The Duamenefa Grand Durbar remains a powerful symbol of unity, transformation, and the strength of community spirit.
