The Duamenefa Foundation, in partnership with Dr. David Kotei Nutakor, also known as Togbi Dunenyo I, has donated medical equipment and other essential items valued at GH¢24,999 to the Keta Municipal Hospital, bringing the total value of support from Dr. Nutakor and the Foundation to GH¢185,355.

The donation formed part of the 11th phase of the Foundation’s support to the hospital and was presented on Thursday, October 8, 2026, at the Keta Municipal Hospital in the Volta Region.

According to a message from the Duamenefa Foundation, the initiative is built around “gratitude, remembrance, compassion, service to humanity” and the desire to “give back to our birthplace.”

The programme dates back to October 2019, when Mr. Ketaman Emmanuel Evortepe, CEO of FAFAA 100.3 FM and Executive President of the Duamenefa Foundation, popularly known as Togbi Duamenefa I, travelled to the United States and met Dr. David Kotei Nutakor in California.

The Foundation explained that both Mr. Evortepe and Dr. Nutakor were born at the Keta Hospital, and their shared connection to the facility inspired them to support its development and give back to the institution that played an important role in their lives.

Following the meeting, Dr. Nutakor adopted the Children’s Ward and Male Ward for continued support.

Since the programme began, the Foundation and Dr. Nutakor have provided the hospital with medical equipment, hospital furniture, electronic appliances and other essential items intended to improve healthcare delivery and the welfare of patients and their families.

In 2020, the Children’s Ward received a 65-inch television with satellite service, complete interior and exterior repainting and curtains. The Male Ward also received four 32-inch televisions with satellite service.

In its message, the Foundation described the initiative as more than a donation programme, saying it represents an expression of gratitude and a commitment to giving back to the community.

It said the story behind the initiative is one of “gratitude, remembrance, compassion, service to humanity” and the desire to “give back to our birthplace.”

From the first donation in 2020 to the latest intervention in 2026, the initiative has provided medical equipment, hospital furniture, electronic appliances, educational materials and other resources to support healthcare delivery and improve the experience of patients and their families.

For the Duamenefa Foundation and Dr. Nutakor, the initiative remains a demonstration of gratitude and compassion, while providing an opportunity to give back to the Keta Municipal Hospital and the community that holds a special place in their history.

The Foundation said it remains committed to the values that inspired the initiative from the beginning: remembering one’s roots, showing compassion, serving humanity and giving back to the community.
