The Duamenefa Foundation has successfully rescued 748 lives through its investigation and intervention activities over the past 16 years, according to its Executive President, Mr. Ketaman Emmanuel Evortepe.
Mr. Evortepe disclosed this during an interview on Fafaa 100.3 FM, where he highlighted the Foundation’s intervention efforts and its commitment to addressing concerns affecting individuals and communities.
According to him, the 748 lives represent petitions in which the Foundation successfully intervened since it began its intervention work 16 years ago.
He said the Foundation’s interventions have involved responding to reports from individuals and communities, conducting investigations, engaging relevant stakeholders, and seeking appropriate solutions to issues brought to its attention.
Mr. Evortepe made the disclosure following another successful intervention at Netsikorpe, where concerns were raised over an alleged Adzevedu reportedly installed in the community without the knowledge of the traditional rulers.
The allegation prompted the Foundation to intervene and investigate the circumstances surrounding the reported installation. Following the investigation and engagement with relevant stakeholders, the alleged Adzevedu was successfully removed.
The Netsikorpe intervention, according to the Foundation, forms part of its broader community-based intervention work aimed at responding to concerns and helping to address situations that may affect individuals or communities.
Mr. Evortepe explained that the Foundation’s intervention process involves listening to affected persons, gathering relevant information, investigating reported cases and, where necessary, engaging traditional authorities, community leaders and other stakeholders to find appropriate solutions.
He further encouraged individuals and communities with genuine concerns to report such matters through the appropriate channels so that they can be properly investigated and addressed.
The Executive President said the Foundation’s 16-year record demonstrates its continued commitment to community intervention and the protection of vulnerable people.
The latest intervention at Netsikorpe adds to the Foundation’s record of interventions across communities and highlights the importance of timely reporting, proper investigation and cooperation among community members, traditional authorities and relevant organisations.
For Duamenefa Foundation, the reported rescue of 748 lives represents 16 years of sustained intervention work and a continued commitment to responding to issues affecting the lives and wellbeing of individuals and communities.
