H.E. Dr. Gabriel Kwamigah Tanko Atokple, also known as Torgbi Nyaxordeakorla I and Founder of the Tanko Foundation, has announced a partnership between the Tanko Foundation and the Duamenefa Foundation aimed at promoting development and improving the well-being of people in their communities.
He made this statement on the airwaves of Fafaa 100.3 FM during an interaction with Mr. Ketaman Emmanuel Evortepe, Executive President of the Duamenefa Foundation, when he was asked to inform the public about preparations towards the Duamenefa Grand Durbar at the Klikor Unity Park in the Ketu South Municipality of the Volta Region.
Dr. Atokple, whose foundation is a key sponsor of the upcoming grand durbar, said all arrangements are in place for the event and expressed confidence that the programme would take place successfully.
According to him, preparations for the durbar are progressing well, with the necessary arrangements being put in place to ensure a successful event.
He acknowledged that some individuals had attempted to interfere with the plans and disrupt the organisation of the event, but noted that their efforts had not succeeded.
He attributed the progress of the preparations to the grace of God, expressing confidence that the upcoming durbar would be a successful one.
The Duamenefa Grand Durbar is scheduled to take place on November 28, 2026, at the Klikor Unity Park in the Ketu South Municipality of the Volta Region.
Speaking about the partnership between the Tanko Foundation and the Duamenefa Foundation, Dr. Atokple explained that the collaboration was established primarily to promote development and support people in need.
He said the partnership goes beyond the organisation of the grand durbar, stressing that both foundations share a common vision of contributing to the development and well-being of communities.
According to him, the collaboration between the two foundations has come to stay and would continue to serve as a platform for supporting development initiatives.
Dr. Atokple emphasised that the partnership should not be seen as being dependent on the individuals currently leading the two foundations.
He explained that even if the current leaders are no longer available, another person would take over and continue the collaboration, ensuring that the development agenda of the partnership is sustained.
He further stated that the partnership is rooted in a shared commitment to supporting initiatives that bring people together and create opportunities for development.
Dr. Atokple noted that the Duamenefa Grand Durbar also provides an important platform for promoting unity, culture and development, expressing confidence that the event would bring together people from different communities and backgrounds.
He called on the public, traditional authorities, development partners and other stakeholders to support the event and contribute to its success.
He said the collective support of stakeholders would help strengthen the development agenda associated with the partnership and create a greater impact on the lives of the people.
The Founder of the Tanko Foundation assured the organisers and the people of Klikor of his continued support for initiatives that promote peace, unity and sustainable development in the area.
He reiterated that the partnership between the Tanko Foundation and the Duamenefa Foundation was not established for a single event but as a long-term collaboration aimed at creating lasting development impact.
He expressed the hope that the upcoming Duamenefa Grand Durbar would mark another important milestone in the partnership and further strengthen the relationship between the two foundations.
Meanwhile, Mr. Ketaman Emmanuel Evortepe, Executive President of the Duamenefa Foundation, used the opportunity to express his appreciation to H.E. Dr. Gabriel Kwamigah Tanko Atokple for his support, generosity and commitment to the foundation’s activities.
