The Executive President of the Duamenefa Foundation, Mr. Ketaman Emmanuel Evortepe, has reaffirmed the organisation’s commitment to saving lives, supporting vulnerable people and promoting peace, insisting that its mission is not to deceive or mislead members of the public.
According to Mr. Evortepe, the Foundation was established to collaborate with relevant stakeholders to provide assistance to individuals and families facing difficult circumstances most especially in spiritual matters, resolve disputes through peaceful interventions and promote unity within communities.
He made the remarks on Fafaa 100.3 FM during the Duamenefa Social Intervention Programme.
Mr. Evortepe said the Foundation’s work is centred on helping vulnerable people, resolving conflicts peacefully and bringing hope to individuals and families in need.
Petition from Gamorkope
His comments followed a petition submitted to the Duamenefa Foundation seeking investigation and intervention in a matter from Gamorkope in the Akatsi South Municipality of the Volta Region.
The petition concerned allegations of spiritual attack in a dispute between the Ahiagba and Dotsey families in connection with a vehicle-related matter.
As part of its intervention, the Foundation commenced an investigation into the matter and engaged individuals connected to the dispute.
During the investigation, allegations were raised concerning the involvement of Mr. Bright Ahiagba, who was reportedly a witness in the vehicle-related matter.
In keeping with its stated approach of hearing from all sides, the Foundation reached out to Mr. Ahiagba to provide his response and perspective on the matter.
During the interaction, Mr. Evortepe encouraged him to remain calm and patient, stressing the importance of dialogue and understanding in resolving the dispute.
‘Deception is not our mission’
During the conversation, a person reportedly accompanying Mr. Ahiagba was heard making a comment in the background alleging that the Executive President was deceiving him.
Responding to the comment, Mr. Evortepe advised Mr. Ahiagba not to be influenced by such statements, reiterating that deception does not form part of the Foundation’s mission.
He maintained that the Duamenefa Foundation’s primary objectives are to save lives, unite families and promote peace among individuals and communities.
He further explained that the Foundation’s interventions are intended to resolve disputes and restore relationships rather than create further divisions.
Call for truth and cooperation
Mr. Evortepe said the Foundation is guided by principles of truth, compassion and fairness when handling petitions brought before it.
He explained that the organisation listens to the parties involved, conducts investigations and seeks peaceful resolutions that take into consideration the interests of those concerned.
According to him, family disputes require patience, understanding and effective communication, as unresolved conflicts can lead to further divisions.
He said the Foundation’s role is to facilitate dialogue, rebuild relationships and encourage peaceful coexistence.
Mr. Evortepe also urged individuals who submit petitions to the Foundation to provide accurate information and disclose relevant facts to investigators.
He cautioned parties involved in ongoing investigations against allowing themselves to be influenced by misinformation, stressing that honesty and transparency are essential to achieving fair and peaceful resolutions.
Foundation pledges continued intervention
The Executive President called on the public to support the work of the Duamenefa Foundation and expressed the organisation’s commitment to continuing its social intervention programmes.
He encouraged individuals and communities involved in disputes to remain calm and allow mediation and investigative processes to take their course.
Mr. Evortepe assured the public that the Foundation would continue working towards its stated vision of saving lives, promoting unity and bringing hope to individuals, families and communities.
