Remove the Vodoo Charm and Exorcise Your god’s – Duamenefa Foundation to Hunor Kofi Gede

The Executive President of the Duamenefa Foundation and CEO of Fafaa 100.3 Fm, Mr Emmanuel Ketaman Evortepe has called on a fetish priest, Hunor Kofi Gede to honor the invitation of the traditional rulers of Akatsi Avadre traditional area. Hunor Gede is expected to remove the alleged Love charm he purported gave Madam Etey Fometu, planted in the premises of Mr. Mamaa Alli, her husband. The intention is to spiritually divert the heart of the husband to Love her much more and hate the newly rival wife. The charm allegedly gone wrong and their daughter died as a result

Traditional rulers have set aside the 18th February, 2026 to carry out traditional arbitration to compel Hunor Gede to remove the charm. The sitting will first take place at Avadre before the leaders proceed to Akatsi, where the charm is said to have been buried.

The issue was brought before the Duamenefa Foundation through a petition by Mr. Ali Mammah of Akatsi. In his petition, he alleged that his wife, Mad. Ete Fometu, was responsible for the illness of their daughter. According to him, he consulted an oracle concerning his daughter’s health condition, and it was revealed that the illness was spiritually linked to a charm allegedly buried in their compound by his wife.

Mr. Ali Mammah further claimed that aside from his daughter’s illness, animals in their household had also been dying mysteriously, a situation he equally linked to the alleged buried charm.

Upon being contacted by the Duamenefa Foundation during their investigations, Mad. Ete Fometu reportedly admitted to burying the charm. She explained that she acted out of fear that her husband intended to marry another woman and wanted to prevent him from bringing a second wife into the home. She stated that her mother and her own brother took her to a fetish priest known as Hunor Kofi Gede, who provided the charm.

The Duamenefa Foundation began investigations into the matter before the unfortunate death of the young girl. Following developments, the Foundation called on the Assembly Member of the Avadre Electoral Area to intervene in collaboration with the traditional rulers to ensure that the charm is removed to restore peace and safety in the community.

However, when contacted for updates, the Assembly Member indicated that a major challenge was locating Hunor Kofi Gede, the alleged fetish priest who provided the charm. In response, the Duamenefa Foundation reached out to his son, who confirmed that he had informed his father about the issue and would present him before the traditional rulers for the necessary processes to be carried out.

Mr. Evortepe, lamented bitterly over the death of the innocent young girl and expressed his heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved family. He described the incident as painful and unfortunate, stressing that no child deserves to lose her life under such circumstances. He assured the family that the Foundation remains committed to ensuring that the matter is thoroughly addressed.

Community members have expressed mixed reactions to the development, with some calling for calm and due process while others have urged traditional authorities to act swiftly to prevent further fear and tension within the area. Many residents believe that resolving the matter openly will help restore confidence and unity in the community.

The traditional leaders are expected to conduct the arbitration process in accordance with customary practices, while also ensuring that no actions taken contravene national laws. Observers note that collaboration between traditional authorities, local government representatives, and civil society groups such as the Duamenefa Foundation is essential in handling sensitive cases of this nature.

Meanwhile, stakeholders have emphasized the importance of dialogue and peaceful resolution, urging families involved in disputes to seek lawful and appropriate channels rather than resorting to actions that may endanger lives. The incident has sparked broader conversations within the municipality about conflict resolution, family disputes, and the need to prioritize the welfare of children.

With all arrangements in place, 18th February, 2026 has been scheduled for the arbitration and removal exercise. On that day, traditional authorities will convene at Avadre before moving to Akatsi to carry out the operation, as community members anticipate the exercise aimed at resolving the matter and restoring calm.
