The Costheta Educational Support Fund, which is awarded to eligible students who excel in their Senior High School (SHS) final examinations, is once again open for qualified applicants.

Fully sponsored by Dr. David Nutakor, also known as Torgbui Dunenyo I, and his wife Mama Dunenyo I from California, the fund continues to provide vital financial and material support to outstanding students.

Each year, 20 qualified students who obtain at least four A grades, especially in core subjects, are selected to benefit from this initiative. Since its establishment through the Duamenefa Foundation six years ago, the program has supported over 100 students, helping them pursue their educational dreams.

This year’s package includes financial support and laptops for the selected beneficiaries. The announcement was made by Abass Seidu during the Fafaa 100.3 FM news at 2 p.m., where he emphasized that the fund remains a lifeline for deserving students.

According to him, once the SHS final examination results are released, eligible students can apply for the support. However, applicants must be members of the Duamenefa Foundation or have parents who are members.

The Costheta Educational Support Fund was introduced by Dr. David Nutakor – Togbi Dunenyo I, in loving memory of his late parents, Madam Sabina Atsemuyo Evortepe and his father, Mr Leonard Besa GBEDE Nutakor, of blessed memory, whose values of hard work, faith, and compassion inspired the creation of this initiative. Through this act, Dr. Nutakor seeks to honor their legacy by empowering the next generation through education.

The initiative has become one of the most anticipated opportunities for brilliant but needy students in the Volta Region and beyond. Its consistency and transparency have earned it the trust of many parents, teachers, and educational stakeholders who see it as a symbol of hope for underprivileged youth.

In past years, many beneficiaries of the fund have gained admission into top tertiary institutions across Ghana. Some have gone on to become professionals who now give back to their communities — a testament to the long-term impact of Dr. Nutakor’s generosity.

The Costheta Educational Support Fund continues to embody the vision of its sponsors — promoting academic excellence, honoring family legacy, and empowering brilliant but needy students to achieve their goals.
