The Duamenefa Foundation presents the six edition of the Costheta Educational Support Fund to eligible students. The foundation would also empower people leaving with disability (PLWDS) with equipments to set them up in business, within the Woe, community in the Anloga district of the Volta Region.
With only two days to the ceremony, excitement is building as the Costheta Educational Support Fund prepares to unfold in a truly remarkable way. Invited guests, beneficiaries, and participants have all shown strong readiness and enthusiasm toward the programme, reflecting the significance of the initiative within the community.
The ceremony is scheduled to come off at the end of this month, on Thursday, 30th April, at the Duamenefa Mission House, Deku Road, opposite the Roman Catholic Church at Woe-Aklorbordzi. The event is expected to draw attention from stakeholders and well-wishers who share a passion for education and youth empowerment.
The Costheta Educational Support Fund is an initiative designed to support brilliant but needy students who have completed Senior High School with a score card between aggregate 6 – 10 and have gained admission into tertiary institutions. Beyond academic excellence, beneficiaries are also expected to demonstrate good Christian character and come from families affiliated with the Duamenefa Foundation.
This life-changing initiative is sponsored by Dr. David Kotei Nutakor, also known as Torgbui Dunenyo I. He established the fund in blessed memory of his late parents, Mr. Leonard Gbede Nutakor and Mrs. Sabina Atsemuyo Evortepe, as a way of honoring their legacy while investing in the future of young people through education.
The initiative has been in existence for the past six years, during which it has supported over 120 students, and continues to make a lasting impact. As this Thursday’s ceremony approaches, it is expected to be an especially exciting and memorable occasion, marking yet another milestone in the fund’s ongoing mission to transform lives.
Speaking to Hon. Emmanuel Dordor, the assembly man of the community, he claimed, the community is readily set for the ceremony.
He further noted that persons with disability have been identified been identified to benefit from the programme. According to him, arrangements have been made to provide them with the necessary tools to support those who acquired skills and members of the Duamenefa Foundation.
He added that the beneficiaries are fully ready, with some of them expressing gratitude for the opportunity, as they are also going to benefit from this special occasion by receiving the needed tools. This was shared during an interaction with Mr. Abass Seidu.
Hon. Emmanuel Dordor further expressed appreciation to the management of the Costheta Educational Support Fund and the Duamenefa Foundation for their continuous commitment to improving lives through education and social support. He described the initiative as a timely intervention that has brought relief and hope to many families within the community and beyond.
He extended his gratitude on behalf of the assembly, acknowledging the leadership and vision behind the programme, and commended their efforts in sustaining such a meaningful project over the years.
