Invocation of the Wrath of the Gods Kill 7 People Including a Pregnant Woman

The Duamenefa Foundation, a human rights and peace advocacy organization, has begun investigations into a deeply troubling case involving the alleged invocation of a spiritual curse over missing rams, which is believed to have led to the sudden death of a seven-month pregnant woman and the mysterious deaths of six children within the same family.

According to a petition filed by Mr. Kplorla Nyonyo, Atsu Kuawukume, and Doe Akorlatse, their daughter collapsed while preparing food and was rushed to the hospital, where she was later pronounced dead. She was seven months pregnant at the time.

The family claims that after informing her husband, Mr. Gavor, about the incident, he urged them to gather items to pacify the gods, revealing that he had invoked a spiritual curse due to the loss of his rams, which he initially suspected his wife had stolen. He allegedly warned that more people would die if the gods were not appeased.

Mr. Gavor told Duamenefa investigators that when the rams were first discovered missing, his wife accused his brother of stealing them, which led to a serious dispute between him and his brother. This prompted him to consult an oracle (Afa), which revealed that his brother was indeed responsible.

However, after the sudden death of his 26-year-old son, Mr. Gavor said the tension in the family intensified, and three individuals were sent to consult the oracles again. This time, the oracles revealed that his wife had stolen the rams, and that the deaths in the family were a result of this theft.

At that time, the wife was still alive, and according to Mr. Gavor, she denied the accusations, insulted those questioning her, and threatened to invoke a curse on anyone who continued to press the matter.

When questioned by Duamenefa about the conflicting revelations — first pointing to the brother, then to the wife — he admitted that the oracle had deceived him at first, but he now believes his wife was responsible

When Duamenefa Foundation called on the petitioners to clarify certain issues, Mr. Kplorla Nyonyo stated that the family was not aware of any accusation involving the missing rams until after their daughter had passed away. He strongly denied that she confessed before dying, contradicting Mr. Gavor’s claim.

The Duamenefa Foundation has described the case as one of deep concern, especially with the deaths of six children believed to be mysteriously connected to the situation. The Foundation strongly discourages the use of spiritual threats or invocations in domestic conflicts and urges all parties to allow customary arbitration and lawful procedures to uncover the truth.

The body of the deceased woman remains in the mortuary as the investigation continues.
